John 10:12-14 – 12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Jesus had come to this earth because work needed to be done. But, He had no intention of that work ending when He returned to Heaven. On Thursday night, hours before He would be arrested, Jesus spent the evening having His Last Supper with His disciples.
During that Supper, Jesus “washed their feet” not because they were dirty, but because He wanted to teach them one last lesson. “14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” Resurrection Sunday will come and Resurrection Sunday will go, but what will you do on Monday? Jesus’ final lesson to us all was to “wash one another’s feet”. How will you honor our Lord by washing other people’s feet?
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
