In the Blink of An Eye

1 Corinthians 15:52 – 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
I read in the news today that a man was killed on the side of the road while he was working on his car this morning. A drunk driver veered to the side of the road, rear-ended the broken down car and crushed this poor man. While we may read stories like this often, this story struck me because I had driven by that man and his broken down car minutes before he was killed. Who would have known that just minutes later, tragedy would strike.
In today’s passage, we read, “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.” The Bible reminds us that we are not guaranteed tomorrow, much less the rest of today. How you choose to live each moment will have a lasting impact on your enternity. Remember to live your life to honor and serve God. Telll your loved ones you love them frequently and live your life prepared for that “moment, in the twinkling of an eye.”
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
