1 Chronicles 4:39-40 – 39 So they went to the entrance of Gedor, as far as the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks. 40 And they found rich, good pasture, and the land was broad, quiet, and peaceful; for some Hamites formerly lived there.
I must admit that I do not particularly like to go shopping for things…. I don’t like the time it takes and the various stores you must go to to compare items. In my opinion, you go into one store, go directly to the item and buy it. No looking around, talking to people or comparing items. This is probably not the correct way to go shopping and it is definitely not the correct way to pursue a relationship with God.
In today’s scripture, we read of the family of Simeon who sought “rich, good pasture” for their flocks. Because they were diligent in looking, they found “the found rich, good pasture”. This passage reminded me that if we too want to receive all of the “rich, good pasture” that the Lord has waiting for us, we must keeping seeking Him everyday. It is through that diligent effort and persistence that we will receive the greatest blessing — a deep and sincere relationship with the Lord.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
