2 Samuel 5:1 – 5 Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Indeed we are your bone and your flesh.
I was recently having a conversation with a parent about whether or not their children looked like them or the other parent. It is pretty common knowledge that a child will either look like both or one of the parents. Why? Because the children have the same genetic makeup as their parents. But, did you know that just as you carry the genetic makeup as your parents, you also carry the same genetic makeup as your Father?
In today’s scripture, we are told that Israel was from the bone and flesh of David. The same can be said for us in relation to God, “Indeed we are your bone and your flesh”. For all that we meet, we are the flesh and bone of God. We are the part of God that people see and hear. Just as we represent our family, we too represent our Father. May you be His flesh and bone today with all the lost, broken and lonely people that you will encounter.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
