The Fruit of Kindness

2 Samuel 9:1 – Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

It may just be me, but it appears that people are more stressed and less kind. People seem to argue more, yell more and criticize people more. I realize that some of you may disagree with me, but I think it would be hard to argue that “in general” people are less kind today than others in the past.

In today’s scripture, we read of King David who desired to “show him kindness for Jonathon’s sake”.  There are many ways that we as Christians can make a difference in the world. One of the simplest and most affective ways is to show people the fruit of kindness. If it was David’s desire to show kindness, then we too should desire to show kindness to those we encounter each day. I personally believe that now more than ever, people need to know Jesus. One of the ways we can introduce Him is through our kindness.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
