Jeremiah 29:11 – 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
There are so many times that we think we have life all figured out. Then, suddenly, something happens and our world is turned upside down. I recently heard a story of a baby that was born with 4 holes in their heart. The normal course of treatment would have been to do surgery on the newborn to correct the problem. The family prayed fervently for God to heal their baby. Then something miraculous happened — the baby developed a growth in their heart that sealed two of the holes and allowed the doctors to wait until the baby was older to perform the necessary surgery.
Jeremiah reminds us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” We must remember that regardless of what we are dealing with in life, God is still in control. He can take the bad and make it a blessing. He can take a sick baby and give it The Gift of a Growth. As we pray, we must also trust that God will answer our prayers “to give you a future and a hope”.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
