Proverbs 7: – 21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.
As a pastor, I have the distinct privilege and honor to walk with people through many different seasons in their lives — celebrations, trials, successes and failures. I have noticed for many people that experience a slide into sin, I hear a similar response — “I never thought it would end up like this”. No, we might not think we will ever suffer consequences for our actions, but the Bible warns us of it. The Bible also warns that we may fall into sin if we are not alert and aware.
In today’s scripture we are warned that we are tricked, “With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.” The enemy is good at 2 things — getting us to sin and then condemning us for our sin. That is why we must heed to warnings of the Bible and those around us carefully. As a pastor, I will never condemn you for your sin, but I will also never condone you for your sin. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are called to help guide the lost back to God. We are called to help the blind to see. We are called to help people hear the truth so they will not be fooled by lies.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
