Ezekiel 14:4 – 4 “Therefore speak to them, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols,
Recently, while going through old childhood things, I discovered an old Ronald McDonald doll that I had gotten at Mcdonalds over 40 years ago. I noticed that I had written my old Kindergarten teachers name on it (Mrs. Hall). I don’t remember much about it, but I am sure that good ole Ronald meant something to me when I was younger. Now, it sits in a closet collecting dust.
Today in Ezekiel we are warned, “I the Lord will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols”. I made that doll to be more than it was intended to be — just some material stuffed with cotton. The Bible warns us not to take earthly things and make them into idols. Regardless of what it is, be careful to not place things and people before God. The only One to be worshipped in our lives it the Lord.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
