Give Credit Where Credit is Due

Exodus 13:14 – 14 So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall say to him, ‘By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

We are slow to take responsibility for our sin, but very quick to take credit for the triumphs in our lives. We have things all mixed up. We blame God for our actions and take credit for His actions. In today’s passage Israel was reminded, “By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” We must remember that we are very good at getting ourselves into trouble, but not so good at getting ourselves out of that trouble. As you are delivered from the trials in your life, remember to give credit where credit is due. More specifically, give credit to WHO the credit is due — the Lord. Only the Lord can deliver you, only the Lord can free you.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
