Sent Away

Leviticus 16:21 – 21 Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man.

For some people, they will never be forgiven of their sins; not because God doesn’t forgive, but because they will not forgive themselves. With sin, we are left with the aftermath of guilt and shame. Unfortunately, that guilt and shame can torment us for years if not a lifetime. If you believe the truth about what Jesus’ birth meant to us and our sin, you can take comforting in knowing that when we truly confess our sins to God, our sin is sent “away into the wilderness”. Jesus did not come and ultimately die so we would carry our guilt and shame, Jesus came so we would be released of all guilt and shame. Forgive yourself as the Lord has forgiven you.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
