Have You Seen Jesus?

Matthew 28:1-8 – 28 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

Have you seen Jesus? Have you received Him as your Savior? Have you recognized Him as the One who defeated death and sin? Have you rejoiced for what He did for you on the cross?

I pray that you will find a church this Easter Sunday to worship he Lord and give thanks for what Easter truly means to us — freedom from sin and death.

Chris is risen, He is risen indeed!

Is It Your Turn?

Judges 1:1 – Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?”

“Somebody needs to do something about this.” It is a common saying, unfortunately, it is the wrong saying. There is much work that needs to be done today for the Lord, but it isn’t “somebody” else that needs to get it done. May you allow the Lord to use you today to do His work to His people. “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” The answer is simple — it is your turn.

Jesus Fought for You

Joshua 23:3 – You have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations because of you, for the Lord your God is He who has fought for you.

What we see on the cross is not a Savior fighting for Himself, but a Savior fighting for us. “For the Lord your God is He who has fought for you”. As you face your trials and battles today, take comfort and know that the One who fought for you on the cross is the One who still fights for you today. Just as He claimed victory over the cross and death, He will claim victory over your trials, struggles and battles facing you.

I pray for victory today for you on your Journey!

Cross Over

Joshua 22:19 – 19 Nevertheless, if the land of your possession is unclean, then cross over to the land of the possession of the Lord, where the Lord’s tabernacle stands, and take possession among us; but do not rebel against the Lord, nor rebel against us, by building yourselves an altar besides the altar of the Lord our God.

This is the week of Easter; a celebration of new life, new beginnings, new hope. It isn’t a celebration of what Jesus did for Himself, but a celebration of what Jesus did for us. In today’s passage we read, “then cross over to the land of the possession of the Lord, where the Lord’s tabernacle stands, and take possession among us”. Easter morning, Jesus gave us the opportunity to cross over, to change the direction of our life and gave us a second chance. This Easter, I pray for you that you will take advantage of the second chance that Jesus gave you to “cross over” and begin new. Easter morning is a new day, a new hope a new life in Jesus Christ.

It Is Not About Religion

Joshua 22:5 – But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Different people may have different ideas, thoughts and definitions of what it means to be a Christian. Today’s Word reminds us of what it really is, “the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Love God, follow God, obey God and serve God. No, Christianity is not about religion, it is about a relationship. And, it is that relationship that should drive every other aspect of your life.

All Came to Pass

Joshua 21:43-45 – 43 So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. 44 The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

Perhaps right now your faith is failing. You have been faithful, obedient and trusted God, yet it seems as though the Lord has abandoned you or forgotten about you. In today’s passage we read, “45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.” Remember, the Lord has promised to protect you and provide for you. When it comes to the prayers we pray, it is not a question of “if God will answer”, but “when will God answer”. Have faith today that your answer is coming. Not because we deserve it, but because God promised it.

I pray for blessing today for you on your Journey!
